He's a naturally skillful player, but not entirely sure what's he's contributed in the last few games. No player should be exempt and I'd like to see him in the middle or on the bench. |

I'd be tempted to give him more time to settle in. He's not been great but then so i hear from the last game, not many others were either. |

tjdtixi i agree but my concern is if you have one player not prepared to work is socks off it can soon effect others.he would be good in a winning team |

True, but i still think that he's getting used to what is expected of him in the league. Look at Drogba and countless others - if you judged them on the first season alone then you may have sold them for price of the pint at the end of the first season. He is a luxury player but the trick is for Bruce is to figure out how to gt the best from him, that takes time on the pitch and at Wast Hills to achieve. |

New country, new league and already in 5 games he has played As a second striker / just behind the striker, left wing and right wing. Have I missed any? And people wonder why its taking time to settle. |

Yep its appalling..... Oh bye the way they are all positions he has played in before. he is used to having a free role at his previous clubs..... :D |

exactly!! his best game to date was Chelsea, where for part of the game he played just off Forssell and was allowed to drift into good positions, since then SB has used him out wide where he isn't effective, sorry its down to management IMO not the player. :( |

Indeed. Some people are so incredibly impatient it's untrue. New country, new language, new league, new team. Give the guy a bit longer than a month for pity's sake. I fear for De Ridder when he finally gets a chance, he'll probably get fifteen minutes before he's judged to be rubbish. |

of course your right about drogba and others and i agree he dose need time but i still doubt he is the type of player we need right now maybe after ten or twelve games when were mid table and some points clear of the bottom three as indeed chelsea were at that time but not when were strugling. i think sb will maybe give him a few more games tho |

But hang about, Bruce has been criticised, fairly too, for stifling the creativity of players when they come to the club. But now, and with Bendtner last season, when we gain a truly creative player, the first instinct of some people is to say they're not the sort of player we need? |

I agree, apart from right wing which I don't think he has played too often, but it has got to make things harder to settle and produce your best form. I certainly think a free role would suit him best. Either in a 4-5-1-1 or, heaven forbid, as an attacking central midfielder in a 4-4-2. Just like Dunn, Jiri etc. and even McSheffrey to a degree, playing him on the wing in the prem and under the rigid defensive system Bruce plays will narrow us and make it harder for him to a huge impact. |

Kapo is without doubt a quality player, but it just seems Bruce has trouble using these players to their full potential, I can't think of a single player Bruce has developed onto the next level, Kapo will need time to adjust to the pace of the Prem, but it takes a solid team with one or two special players to survive as we all know, I don't think we have anything like that at the moment. |

If Bruce won't play to Kapo's strengths what's the point in playing him (out of position?) Typical Bruce accumulates as many players as he can in the market and hasn't a clue what he's gonna do with them. Making it up as he's going along. Do you think he knows what he's gonna do with Palacios and Oubina? Me neither. |

Kapo played mostly on the left side for Levante and for Juventus. His main obstacle from getting into the Juventus team was Pavel Nedved, who plays on the left hand side of midfield. So if Bruce is ripe for criticism for playing him "out of position", then so is Fabio Capello. |

Blues played arguably their best game of the season against chelski playing a 4-5-1. Kapo is at his best playing in behind the forward; not left wing, right wing, or centre midfield, and it does him a disservice to play him at those positions. SO I say play him as the attacking midfielder that he is or sit him down. In my opinion he is absolute class, and its frustrating to see that some supporters dont get that. |

Exactly. Blues fans only want to see players running around at 100 miles per hour with sweat pouring off them. No room for the artiste, the thinker, the one that makes the ball do the work. Pathetic. |

I think there could be an element of "different country, different league, different techniques" here. How can I put it? Like I have seen him play balls to people..or to noone, maybe expecting the rest of the team to be on the same wavelength as him and read his moves, but alas they don't (if i was a total cynic I would say cos the ball wasn't coming from the defence at 40 mph through the air!). Not sure if that makes sense, trying to describe what I mean. |
